Jamerican Muslimah Speaks It Real…

One of my favorite bloggers returned today and I’m feeling her post. I respect Jamerican Muslimah immensely. In her writing she tends to address issues, instead of sticking her head in the sand and pretending that these problems within the Ummah don’t exist. In her latest entry she elaborates on her experiences as a Black Female Convert. Though I’ve left the faith, I can say I basically agree with her word for word.

A native Seattleite and East Coast transplant, I have been interested in politics, religion, and race from the day I saw “The Autobiography of Malcolm X” on the bookshelf belonging to my BFF’s mom back in 1991. While my zealotry has thankfully diminished with maturity, I remain the deep thinking, passionate, and humble woman I have always been.
