Stop Worrying and Start Living

Last Thursday an article titled “Why Do So Many Black Men Hate Black Women” was posted at For Harriet and on the Huffington Post.  Frustrated with the issue, I decided to share my feelings in a vlog. Please watch and share your input~Diminutive Diva

A native Seattleite and East Coast transplant, I have been interested in politics, religion, and race from the day I saw “The Autobiography of Malcolm X” on the bookshelf belonging to my BFF’s mom back in 1991. While my zealotry has thankfully diminished with maturity, I remain the deep thinking, passionate, and humble woman I have always been.

  1. I cant listen to your response but that has to be one of the saddest articles I’ve read. not so much the article as the comments!!! I’m looking forward to hearing what you have to say. As sad as most of the comments are I have to agree with a lot of them.

    1. It was sad indeed Shahidah. I hope that more sistas will stop looking for love and validation from Black men who reject them.

  2. I absolutely agree and never understood the desire of our women to seek validation from subconsciously self hating brothers. You set your own standard and validate yourself before anyone else. Those who live in insecurity will most assuredly take those things out on the reflection of them, and what makes anyone, regardless of gender, worthy of you? Give folks like them not one ounce of your acknowledgement and enjoy the one who truly appreciates and deserves you. There are PLENTY of us out there who qualify(shameless self plug, lol)
